Director Gore Verbinski got his start working on music videos for punk bands like Bad Religion and NOFX, but he made a name for himself in Hollywood after helming 2002’s The Ring, an American remake of the Japanese film that had a major impact on the horror genre. In the years since The Ring’s release, Verbinski has diverged from horror movies, directing the first three Pirates of the Caribbean films for Disney as well as family action/adventure flicks Rango and The Lone Ranger.

Now, Verbinski is returning to the horror genre for his upcoming film A Cure for Wellness, which follows a young businessman played by Dane DeHaan (The Amazing Spider-Man 2Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets).
